Subspace Emissary: The Great Maze (Part 7)

This video handles the following:
Galleom (Rematch)
Dark Zelda
Dark Peach
Dark Pokemon Trainer

This time it's a little bit more accomplished to put my progress back on track. An extra surprise is in this video as well.

First things first, the rematch with Galleom. This time I manage to get him down, but I still absorb a lot of damage in the process so crap. Peach barely touched it thanks to horrible timing, And Pit scratches it making a dent before getting smacked with a Shield-bypassing uppercut. Strange how it didn't break, it was avoided completely.

Snake pulls off the recovery that was needed and lays down a lot of damage to Galleom. I take a bit of a beating, but thanks to 2 Super Mushrooms, I don't get owned. I almost took out Galleom the same way I did in the preview.

Music: Crystalline Caverns OC Remix
Boy McVaffe makes some great OC remixes. This serves as the in-between battles music for this video and does a good job. The "cave" feeling fits from my prospective.

Okay moving a long I immediately recover as this is the 4th crytal. All 4 major parts of the Maze can now be accessed. As always, these areas present split roads so I decide to go down first.

Entering the ruins section heading to the right first it recommended. The same spike-traps and rotating blocks will be found here along with it's floow-overflow. Take them out or stay away, pick one. (Of course I sortof did the second one)

Dark Zelda.
As you have probably noticed by now, I've given this character a "Dark" voice for a little more liveliness in the fight. The idea was suggested by a real life friend and I thought it would be fun so out comes Audacity and it's audio prowess!

But getting back to the matter, it looks like My Snake strategy involves not harming Princesses too much. I don't know, I must have forgot when Snake fought the False ones and also lost terribly. Bleh...

Lucas comes in to wrap this up with a bumper toss. They don't see it coming if you can throw it the right way.

Okay so now comes the area taken from the Lake where you had those moving rocks. Add a whole bunch of eletrical Jyks and you get the Great Maze Conversion. Each one hurts for about 25% but the knockback isn't too high thank goodness. I Ignore the Armank because here comes...

Dark Peach.
And WHAT an opponent she is. Lucas gets a blinding fast F-Smash from D-Peach who also has her own "Dark" voice too! No seriously the AI on this one is actually smarter than one thinks.

An Epic Peach vs. Dark Peach battle goes on and it looks like the original is loosing. Then it eats Spicy curry to land a hard hit + Guard the edge... like geez! If I had learned to float-smash like she was doing, I probably could have bested her, but alas I get a golf club to the head as a finisher. Ouch.

Pit comes in to finish it off the easiest way possible: Pitfall set-up for an F-Smash KO. Being on the last stock I had to do something effective. Thank my luck I get a second chance to do it.

I come back out and face that Armank. It drops a usless Trophy Stand so we have to double back to recover. I get Jyked twice before reaching the door (That's 50% damage!).

Getting back to the Floow Room is quite dangerous and I choose to avoid them. I almost got pulled into its screaming but get away to head back at the crystal. Here we make the third character exchange for the Maze. Snake, Pit and Lucas are exhanged for Falco, Kirby and Link. Looks like it's good to go.

I use Falco to head left in the long room. but ONCE AGAIN my bad luck with Starfox characters returns and I get crushed trying to recover a Sticker (which can also be a trophy sometimes) for %age. I know I suck with Fox, but this is rediculous... ugh! Peach gets the sticker.

Go up and we find Dark Pokemon Trainer who uses D-Charizard to fight you. He can be tough, and that rocksmash is nothing to laugh at. Peach and the Beamsowrd is a good combination. The tables were turning until it lands a Downsmash with just enough lift to get a KO on the forescreen. Crap!

Kirby goes toe to toe with the lizard and things go okay until I eat a full Rocksmash to the Face... OUCH! He picks up a Raygun and starts doing this Dash-Gun movement... it sounds odd.

All in one jump (for Kirby) I tried to land a Final Cutter and getting burned. Then a Rocksmash works well. The only problem was I forgot I used up all of Kirby's floating. One more Final Cutter but do I grab the edge!

Nope. I actually KO RIGHT before the Charizard turns into a Star. Hmm... a not so spetacular yet hilarious way to end the match. I hoped I could survive.

Because now we'll have to see what Link does on the next part. It's the last stock life, and we can't go back to the save point just yet. Hmm...

Aproximate Completion: 90%
Location is Quadrant 4 (down-left) in the Maze.
