Star Ghost Wii U is one of the best indie releases on the WiiU in 2016 so far. While the game doesn't have a ton of depth, it makes up for this with captivating, mind-bending gameplay. We don't know why it's called "Star Ghost" but we really don't care. This game is fun.

Star Ghost WiiU is an eshop title released by Squarehead. It is a top-down space shmup with non-conventional game mechanics that separate it from the swath of other shmup titles currently in the market.
The best way to describe Star Ghost WiiU is "Flappy Bird in space with weapons and powerups". Seriously, it plays a lot like that - however not nearly as frustratingly punishing as Flappy Bird.
It is currently listed for $7.99 on the WiiU eshop, and at that price, I'd say Star Ghost Wii U is a great buy.
Squarehead is an indie game development studio created by Rhys Lewis - a former developer for nintendo and Retro studios (Famous for Donkey Kong Country returns.)
