I'll cover a few pieces of bonus content, some of which are specifically post-game. To clarify, in Star Ocean 2 there is additional content that is unlocked once you reach the final save point in Fienal, and then backtrack your way back out and return to the world map. This is sort of an early version of modern games giving you a "would you like to return to before the final mission?" option but more hidden, either on purpose or simply because this was easier for the programmers to implement.

Regardless, unless you're a newcomer to SO2 this secret is almost certainly one you're familiar with. There are technically only two major pieces of bonus content that are unlocked in this manner. One is a Private Action in Central City, which activates the game's true final boss and the path to the true ending. The second is the ability to return to Expel. When SO2 first came out, this was kind of a huge deal, because players thought the game was divided across two discs, one per planet. But finding out that the entire first planet and all of its content was still actually on the second disc was a really nice surprise.

Unlocking Expel and having a Synard available opens up a couple of things, but the big one is the Cave of Trials. We'll get to that in the next video, but first I'll show a few other odds and ends worth picking up.
