73Starcraft II Legacy of The Void Campaign Terran Edition created by Synergy where we play as Terrans instead of the Protoss, Mission 2 - THE GROWING SHADOW on the Hard difficulty level. In the Terran Edition of the Legacy Of The Void we well... play as the Terrans in all the missions instead of the Protoss, this makes the missions a little bit different and refreshing. THE GROWING SHADOW is one of the prologue missions where Protoss are about to reclaim the Aiur from feral Zerg, while in the vanilla we had to reestablish a contact with offline Protoss outpost, here it's the Terran base. And it might be problematic (only in terms of lore but gameplay wise it's cool) sometimes because while the missions take part in the last episode of Starcraft II trilogy, we have a playable Tychus Findlay with his chaingun. The mission is fairly easy and we are unfortunately still limited to the basic technology like Marines and just Medics, this map is nothing but going on the pure offensive because the Zerg forces are limited on this map. Level begins with Tychus and few Marines on his way to the desolated Terran outpost, Tychus has tons of armor and health, additionally his Chaingun has incredible rate of fire (but low damage) with some area of effect. All clumped units together like Zerglings or Mutalisks are simply gone quickly when he begins to fire, unfortunately for us, Tychus is available only at the beginning of the mission and just at the end to meet Raynor. Once you reach the base you might immediately start the production with establishing the economy, you might build additional Barracks or two, all what you will need in this mission is just to pump more Marines with some Medics. Additionally there are 3 markers located around the map on your main path to the destination (two of them might be a little out of the main way) where you will get additional reinforcements, but with way more buffed WAR PIGS!. With lots of Marines, War Pigs and Medics you can simply steamroll through the Zerg bases, rarely you might find something heavier like an Ultralisk or even forgotten Zerg Guardians, but it's nothing you might be scared of. Once you reach the main Terran base, another phase with Amon corrupting the minds of Terrans will begin, another part is just a simple going to the finish and rescuing Raynor from the corrupted Terran minds.
