That took a while. I maybe should have just been willing to carefully make an army and leave the base so it didn't take forever to clear buildings, or at least I could have done a MUCH better job at casting solar lance on cooldown. But oh well, I'm just not very good at this so I took the lazy easy route. And it worked, so no complaints. Karax defense is good.

This game was played using the Arcade version of the map, created by Maguro to emulate co-op as closely as possible while giving access to optional features such as the -solo command, used here for the purpose of soloing this mutation.
