Stardew Valley 260 :: Maximum Points Grange Display
Another year, another fair where we show off the produce from Goldrush Farm! We are determined not to give Pierre any chances this time! For our grange display, we go all out with a selection of nine iridium-quality products, which nets us the maximum possible score of 125 points! Take that, Pierre!
Waking up, we collect our payment for shipping 100 yams! Sam greets us on the front porch and tells us that he has fed all the animals! That would be great news if we did not already have an auto-feeding system. We collect our catch of the day from the crab pots and keep our items in the chests!
On the farm, we harvest some eggplants before checking the fish ponds! We proceed into the livestock pen to pet our animals and harvest the truffles. Then, we collect some jars of wild honey! All the shops are closed today, but we have a few packets of amaranth seeds so we sow them on the fields!
We collect the mushrooms from the cave before teleporting to Ginger Island! We harvest some pineapples and ancient fruits from the island farm. Since we have some time before the fair closes, we collect the jars of fairy rose honey from the beehives!
After using our pickaxe to restore the soil, we return to Stardew Valley! We collect our jades from the crystalariums in the big shed. Afterwards, we pick up some iridium-quality items from the fair! We make sure that we pick items from a broad variety of categories.
At the bus stop, we chop down an oak tree and talk to Pam! We store the wood in our chest before entering town for the fair. We speak to Lewis before trying the strength machine! After speaking to the other entrants, we start to set up our grange display!
For the most number of points, we have to include items from at least 6 different categories! Namely, we put in a duck feather for animal products, starfruit wine for artisan goods, a tuna for fish, a magma cap and a poppy for foraged items, a peach and an orange for fruits, and a pumpkin and a beetroot for vegetables!
Walking around the town, we speak to the rest of the villagers and the tourists! We get our fortune told and are surprised to hear about our daughter! What a strange prediction, we do not even know when her birthday is! The fortune teller seems to know about us toying with the feelings of the villagers though!
Once we have spoken to everyone, we tell Lewis that we are ready! Pierre wishes us good luck sarcastically, but we know that he has no chance at all against our premium iridium-quality products! We merely smile and move on.
With 125 points, we get the 1st place in the contest! We head over to laugh in Pierre's face. Why does his display have his name, what makes it so unique anyway? We clear out our grange display box before gambling away our star tokens!
Luckily for us, the spinning wheel is rigged to land on green! After a while, we accumulate enough tokens to buy everything in the shop. Before we leave, we try the strength game again and manage to hit the highest level! We leave the festival with one extra star token.
Storing away our items, we place our new rug in the living room! We keep the glowstone ring in the dresser and keep the dried sunflowers in the chest of decorations. For the rest of the night, we head to the mines for some ore! We place the gold ore in the furnaces before going to bed.
