Stardew Valley 258 :: Community Upgrade
8As a form of compensation for toying with Penny's feelings and erasing her memory, we decide to donate some resources so Robin can build her and her mother a house! Penny no longer lives in our farmhouse, but we hope that her new house would be just as warm and cozy as ours!
Checking the television, we see that it is another day of good luck! We head outside and receive a rebate from Pierre in the mail. Then, we harvest the mangoes and bananas from the island farm! We pick some coconuts from the palm trees and speak to Birdie before returning to the main farm.
At the furnace area, we collect our iridium bars and fill the furnaces with gold ore! We collect from the crab pots and store away our items. In the farmhouse, we check the television a second time out of habit! We also harvest some crops from the indoor garden and interact with our children.
From the chest beside the entrance, we pick up our tools and the items that we had stored there yesterday out of convenience! We head outside to keep the items in the correct chests. On the farm, we collect some apples and pomegranates, and start to harvest the grapes from the vines!
In the livestock pen, we walk around to interact with the animals and harvest their products! We also collect some items from the fish ponds. We place some low-quality milk in the cheese press! We collect some maple syrup and grapes before going into the greenhouse to harvest more fruits.
The pineapples are done, but we will wait for Thursday to harvest them along with the ancient fruit! We head to the farm cave to harvest some mushrooms. At our storage area, we keep our items and pick up some starfruit for the kegs! We also take a jade and an emerald for Emily and Penny!
At the bus stop, we chop down an oak tree and forage for some wild plums! Heading back to the farm, we check the mushroom cave again. We are a little absent-minded today as we had already collected the mushrooms! We head into the backwoods to get to the mountains!
Robin believes that we are a regular member of the community now, and we want to prove her point by contributing towards a new house in town! However, we do not have enough wood with us! Oops! We speak to Maru before leaving.
Heading into town, we accept a quest to deliver an amethyst to Emily and speak to Abigail! Back on the farm, we collect our gold bars. With the wood that we just collected, we have slightly more than what Robin needs! We take out an entire stack of wood and head to the mountains using the obelisk!
Clearing a few more trees, we enter the carpentry shop and buy the community upgrade! Robin tells us that it will take three days. I wonder if some of the money pays for Robin's time! Regardless, Grandpa would be proud to see us helping the community.
Going into town, we bump into Caroline who blocks our way on the path! We are forced to get off our horse and call it over with the flute. We look for Alex in his house, but he is not in! At the trailer, we find Penny washing some dishes!
Hmm... Seems that Penny does know about her new house yet! We give her an emerald to raise our friendship meter. At the Saloon, we buy some plates of salmon dinner! We meet Emily making her way to work and give her a jade.
At Sam's house, we look for our husband-to-be! Instead we speak to his father Kent, who unintentionally traps us in the house as we try to leave! Speaking to Lewis at the edge of town, we head over to Leah's cabin but she is also not at home!
We return to the farm to collect some oak resin! At the sheds, we collect our jades and wine before adding more starfruit to the kegs! When we are done, the sky is already dark! In the farmhouse, we prepare to head to the volcano dungeon!
These days, we are not having much luck at all in the volcano! We seem to encounter many metal gates blocking our way, and on level 9, we keep finding common chests! We are hoping that our luck is different today. Already on level 2, we are assaulted by many hostile enemies!
On level 4, we find a level shaped like ConcernedApe's logo! Too bad that the exit is locked behind a metal gate! We immediately head to the exit on levels 5 and 6 since we are running out of time. Level 6 is a mushroom floor, but rare chests are potentially more valuable to us than a couple of magma caps!
We get past the gate of level 8 with much anticipation! It is already 1 am, so we will probably be sleeping over on the island again. Sadly, we get another common chest with uninspiring loot! Argh! Feeling frustrated, we barely make it out of the volcano alive! We pass out just metres away from the farmhouse.
