For the collection chamber of the mob farm, we try building the ceiling out of deepslate since the chamber is so deep underground! We primarily use deepslate tiles, with some polished deepslate arranged in rows to give the appearance of supporting beams. We mine for cobbled deepslate to complete the ceiling!

Entering the world, we head over to the sheep pen to shear them! We run out of space for andesite in our chests, so we bring some over to the chests at the mob farm. We take out some deepslate before flying to our Ender chest to pick up a pickaxe that does not have Silk Touch!

We had mined most of our deepslate with our Silk Touch pickaxe, but we need cobbled deepslate instead for crafting deepslate tiles and polished deepslate! We head down to the mob farm collection chamber with our Fortune pickaxe and our deepslate blocks.

Clearing out some mobs from the farm, we trade some rotten flesh with our villager! We also slay a chicken that seems to have spawned with a baby zombie. Then, in the entrance hallway, we convert our deepslate into cobbled deepslate with the Fortune pickaxe!

We slay a few more mobs for experience to mend our pickaxe! Then, we build some scaffolding platforms so we can place blocks on the ceiling. We craft a stack of cobbled deepslate into deepslate tiles before using our Fortune pickaxe to get another stack of cobbled deepslate!

Crafting the second stack of deepslate into polished deepslate, we climb up and start building the ceiling! Mirroring the floor below, we place the polished deepslate directly above the polished andesite to form two lines, and fill in the rest of the space with deepslate tiles!

Noticing that the ceiling would intersect with the drop shafts, we replace some exposed blocks of smooth stone with deepslate tiles! Night is falling and we place down our bed to sleep. In the morning, we continue to slay mobs and trade with our cleric villager!

We have run out of deepslate tiles! We place down more deepslate and mine it with our Fortune pickaxe to get the cobbled version. We use the stonecutter to craft the cobbled deepslate into more tiles before placing some on our ceiling!

Our chest of equipment from the mobs is filling up, so we craft another double chest! We attempt to trade again, but the villager has raised the amount of rotten flesh! We proceed to replace more smooth stone blocks at the bottom of the drop shafts with deepslate to match the ceiling.

For the places where the ceiling changes in height, we craft some deepslate tile stairs! We also place down some polished deepslate stairs, before changing the stone bricks of the spider drop shaft to deepslate! We have to be careful here since there is lava above these blocks!

After placing down the blocks around the drop shaft, we run out of deepslate tiles again! Since there is deepslate all around us, it might be easier to just mine these deposits with our Fortune pickaxe to get cobbled deepslate!

We look around for an ideal deposit of deepslate that we can mine. In the end, we decide to mine just beside the entrance shaft! Our mining creates a small cave, and we create a tunnel to link the cave to the side chamber so we can still access it when the walls are built!

In total, we collect over 2 stacks of cobbled deepslate! Sleeping to skip the night, we slay the mobs in the morning to mend our pickaxe. Then, we craft more polished deepslate and deepslate tiles! Placing the blocks on the ceiling, we add in two more lines of polished deepslate beside the drop shafts.

We trade more rotten flesh for emeralds, even when the amount needed increases to 25 per emerald! It seems that we have crafted too many deepslate stairs, oops! We craft more polished deepslate to extend the lines to the back wall. Then, we craft the remaining cobbled deepslate into deepslate tiles for the ceiling!

Returning to the artificial cave, we mine for more cobbled deepslate to complete the ceiling! We find some coal and redstone ore in the process. We collect another two stacks of cobbled deepslate and craft more tiles!

To break up the deepslate tile pattern, we leave some space for a line of polished deepslate on the ceiling, between the side walls and the drop shafts! We sleep for the night before placing the blocks. Then, we mirror the design for the ceiling on the left side of the room!

We are short of just one block to complete the ceiling, so we go to the deepslate deposit to mine again! Afterwards, we slay the mobs in the farm. Trading with our villager, we see that she is now buying 52 rotten flesh for 1 emerald! We will wait for a better offer.

Flying out of the mob farm, we store our blocks in the chests! Seeing a slime at the entrance to the collection chamber, we glide down to slay it! We slay a few more mobs and end the video.
