Stardew Valley 409 :: A Pretty Gift from Leo
7The Feast of the Winter Star is happening today! We are distracted by farm chores, and we show up at the town square just seconds before the festival ends! After giving Jas a gift, we are quite surprised to learn that our secret gift-giver this year is Leo! He gives us a rainbow shell, which is a beautiful and valuable item! Wow!
Getting out of bed, we harvest some crops from the garden pots! The weather forecast informs us that it will snow tomorrow! The host of Livin' Off The Land announces his retirement! Although we know that he had already retired a long time ago, it still makes us sad!
After speaking to Krobus, we check our quests and interact with the children! We keep a strange bun in the kitchen before heading outside. In the mailbox, we find a letter from Sandy with a cactus fruit! We collect the gold bars from the furnaces and smelt iron ore!
Then, we collect the battery packs from the solar panels! At the bus stop, we also pick some holly. We head down to the pen to visit our animals! While doing so, we see that the festival has begun! That was fast! We also collect the fish pond products!
Heading over to the slime hutch, we spend some time to lure all of the slimes into the enclosure on the right! When we try to close the fence gate, it breaks and we pick it up! Oops! We ensure that all of the slimes are fully in the enclosure before repairing the gate!
Collecting the sap from the mahogany tree tappers, we also collect some maple syrup! We check the shed of garden pots before going into the greenhouse to harvest ancient fruit and pineapples! Back at the storage area, we keep away our items before heading to Ginger Island!
Reaching the island farm, it is already 1 pm! We quickly harvest the ancient fruit and the pineapples before heading home. We also pan for some copper ore! Taking out a fairy rose for Jas, we call our horse and head to town for the festival!
Walking around the town square, we speak to the villagers before giving Jas her gift! Seems that everyone is enjoying time with their family. Well, everyone except for Pierre, who is thinking of inventing new holidays to make more money! What a despicable idea.
After giving Jas a fairy rose, we appear beside the large winter star tree! Leo walks up to us and places down a nicely wrapped box. He tells us that he found the gift last summer when he was playing at the beach! We open it up and find a rainbow shell!
The festival ends, and we return to the farm! We take a cup of coffee and keep away our items. Heading to town, we check the rubbish bins! We visit the sewers and head to Krobus's shop to buy some mixed seeds! Along the way, we pick up a crocus!
We had used many of our mixed seeds to craft the fibre seeds for the farm! There does not seem to be an easy way to get more of them though! Krobus sells 10 mixed seeds every week which is a miserly amount, but it still seems like the best way to get more of them!
Afterwards, we return to Ginger Island! We harvest some wild ginger and slay the tiger slimes. We speak to Birdie and check the farm for more ginger and coconuts! At 12.30 am, we teleport home and head to the mines! Unfortunately, there are no bats on floor 111 today as it is a quarry mine floor!
In the end, we manage to slay a single bat on floor 112 for Clint's special order! If we want to complete the quest, we will need to work harder to find and eliminate bats before the week ends! We head back home and store away our items before going to bed!
