The quickest way to disable a ship is by wrecking its engines. First, pop the enemy's shields like a pro, and then let loose on those engines!
If you've got at least one point in the "Targeting Control Systems" skill, you're in luck. Hit "E" to kick into targeting mode and then aim at your prey. Once you've got a lock on, slam that "R" key, and it's go time!
Now, use your trusty "AWSD" keys to select the enemy's engine and unleash fiery destruction. But here's the kicker – don't slack off when those engines start sputtering. Keep the heat on to avoid blowing up the whole ship.
After the fireworks, hold down "X" to board the ship like a space pirate. It's time for some up-close and personal action – clear out all the folks inside, head to the pilot's seat, and take over the entire shebang.
With the ship now out of commission, it's yours for the taking. Dock with it, make sure there are no stragglers on board, and voila, you've got yourself a shiny new ride to rule the cosmos!
