Wazzup Everyone, Welcome back to another guide on how to attached scan jammer to a ship in starfield and why this Scan jammer is important.

Lots of players are unaware of this nifty gadget, which can lead to in-game problems during their travels.
Once you've got your hands on a Scan Jammer in Starfield, you can breeze through security checkpoints without setting off any alarms. Your odds of success go up depending on the type of Scan Jammer you're packing.
Now, let's dive into the step-by-step guide on how to attach scan jammers in Starfield.

First, make your way to Porimma III. If you're unsure of its location, bring up your star map and you'll spot it to the right of Alpha Centauri. Click on it to zoom in on the system and locate the planet Porrima 3. It's the one near the top, close to the sun. Chart a course for that planet and press "X" on your keyboard to initiate the journey. Upon arrival, access the planet map by pressing "R" on your keyboard and look for a place known as "the red mile." Choose that location and press "X" to land.

Exit your ship by holding down "X" on your keyboard and head straight towards the entrance of the RED MILE. Open the two main doors by hitting "E" on your keyboard.

Once inside, take a left and go around what appears to be a reception desk, then turn right. Open the door in front of you with a press of "E" on your keyboard.

Approach Lon Andersson and engage in a conversation by pressing "E" on your keyboard. Go through the entire dialogue and, at the end, select the option "I'd like to view and modify my ships." Keep in mind that this won't work with any other character.

To access the ship builder, press "B" on your keyboard or simply click on it. Now, select the "add" option by clicking on it. It's essential to note that you can't just place the scan jammer wherever you like; it won't work that way. Start with the structural section and choose "Equipment plate." Position it wherever you can. Next, head to the equipment section where you'll find three types of scan jammers.

Here are the three types of scan jammers in Starfield:
Single Frequency (No Starship Design Rank Requirement): Costs 2,850 credits and provides 10% evasion.
Dual Frequency (Starship Design Rank 1): Costs 4,750 credits and provides 30% evasion.
Multi-Frequency (Starship Design Rank 2): Costs 9,500 credits and provides 50% evasion.

I will select the best one and attached the scan jamer in starfield to the top of the equipment plate. Once you're done, hit tab, then press "enter" on your keyboard to confirm the modification to your ship.

It's important to note that purchasing the Multi-Frequency Scan Jammer doesn't ensure that players will always evade cargo inspections. Each Scan Jammer increases the chances of evasion, but the risk of getting caught still exists.
