I attempt a game a buddy of mine got me a few months ago. I expected scary zombies and the tension of finding out what’s looking around the next corner. What I got was awkward zoom moments, punching flowers in the face, and coming across a house that may have once been inhabited by that one creepy sibling couple from Red Dead Redemption 2.

“7 Days to Die” is a zombie survival horror/crafting game -- so basically, dark Minecraft. Warnigns for blood and game violence, as well as zombie jumpscares. In order to survive the zombie hoards, you have to collect resources and craft food, clothing, shelter, weapons, and even a homestead to fortify yourself against invading zombies. Much the same way as monsters in Terraria operate, nighttime brings greater hoards of zombies out to feast upon you. You have to protect yourself from starvation, dehydration, diseases, the elements, AND zombies in order to make it through. Will you survive?
