CURRENTLY, THIS GAME IS UNPLAYABLE ON THE STEAM DECK. Video showing initial game play for The Warlock of Firetop Mountain on the Steam Deck. Steam says the game is Unknown for support at this time and, unfortunately, that seems to be correct. I had problems when I first tried to test the game, but it was recently updated so I decided to try again. I was able to start the game and things seemed to be going well. However, the game froze in the tutorial for how to fight and then it froze again when I had my first choice of going East or West. After I stopped the video, I did go back and test to see if I got different results by selecting the XBox controller instead of the Steam controller. Unfortunately, the game continued to freeze. I decided to post this video anyway in the hope that the developer might see this problem and be able to fix it. Because everything else is looking good in this game and everything is easy to read. But currently, this game is Unsupported and actually Unplayable on the Steam Deck. If this changes with any future updates, I will replace this video with one showing that the game works on the Steam Deck.
