Today, I'm going to talk about the top 5 problems I've had with Steam, since I've started using it in 09, enjoy.

Some things I didn't mention:

- If you buy a game in say, Russia, and move to the USA, there's a chance it might not work in the USA. For example, Skyrim.
- Currency is annoying. For example, one of my friends had to make a new Steam account as he moved from Russia to the USA, and the currency didn't convert, nor did Valve support do it.
- Unlike consoles, release dates ARE enforced. If your local GameStop or something sells you the newest game a day or 2 early, on PC it won't play, while on console you can brag to your XBL friends. Plus, if you have friends in the UK or a time zone on the other side of the date line, they will be playing the game first.
- To add people on the messaging client (Other people can send friend requests to you, but not vice versa), you need to buy at least one game or spend money on microtransactions for games like TF2. You don't need to do anything like this, on other IM clients. Only on Steam.
- Oftentimes when you log in, from firing off an IM to a friend to playing BO2, steam will have to download a 100mb update. It sounds like nitpicking, until you realize some connections are not only data capped, but also the fact it can be slow.
- Steam's friends list is capped at 250 friends (as of 12/10/13), unlike Skype or other IM clients. Unless of course you hand valve your money and boost your steam level via trading card enabled games (lol). One has to wonder why they did it with gimmicky features like that instead of improving the software itself.
