Part eight of twelve of my 12 days of game playthroughs.
Has anybody ever heard of this game? I'm sure you haven't. And I have steamed hams for you! Whoops, I mean Steamboy! I believe Steamboy was originally a manga/graphic novel created by the same person who did Akira (and visually similar as well.) which was Katsuhiro Otomo. Also, this is a movie based game from Japan, which is kinda rare. The movie was licensed by Sony Pictures which is kinda fitting because this console this game is on is owned by Sony. Anyways, this is an action puzzle game where you take control of the main character of this movie/graphic novel. Collect gears, climb ladders, figure out puzzles and kill some knight guards with your steam blaster from your black air container. This game has cel-shaded graphics which look good. To be honest, most games with cel-shaded visuals look good. This game was developed by the same studio as Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles and Neir just to name a few. It controls well enough once you know it's control system. I had a bit of fun playing this game. Is it worth your time? I think so.
Oh and remember to time your steam blasts right or the knights will grab and throw you which means you will lose a few HP and whatever you do, please do not fall into the pits of abyss. It's kinda scary, so hold on for dear life!
All rights belong to Bandai, Cavia, Katsuhiro Otomo and Sony Pictures.
