- Stompin' Longplay (Arcade Game) -

The ingenious concept of transplanting mole game mechanics into an arcade video game, where players must stomp enemies to prevent them from pilfering their food piece by piece.

While the prevention of item theft was previously featured in Rip-Off, Bally Sente executed these elements with finesse, resulting in a delightful, humorous, and, particularly in later levels, somewhat challenging gameplay.

Perhaps the game's sole weakness (but it's a big one) lies in its brevity, with only three play areas - a house floor, a garden, and a pond - each comprising 3 or 4 stages. Surprisingly, upon conquering the eleventh stage, the game doesn't reset or conclude but instead continues with players repeating the same stage endlessly.

To clarify, the 11th stage is hard, and players will eventually deplete their resources (Worms?), leading to defeat. Though, in my humble opinion, introducing a few more environments or extending the game to at least 20 stages could have transformed it from an overlooked and sadly forgotten arcade release into a true gem.
