Storm Machine cutscene skip
14Sadly, this was something I actually tried a while back and didn't think it did work, but while trying to skip the crane cutscene in A Rocky Start, I actually pulled out the binocucom while sliding off the ledge, and the conversation actually started before I died, and it skipped it. So I tried it here, and sure enough, if you position yourself right, it works. You have to actually see the black for the conversation to have officially started, if you zoom in with the cutscene and then die it won't be enough.
The cutscene normally is 32s long, and even with taking time to slowly show it and set up I still saved 8 seconds in this example, so overall you could probably do it to make it 15 seconds faster overall if you just do it really fast (without setting up and just running for it). You want to make sure you slide long enough on the ground so that the conversation starts before you slide off, so don't just go straight off the ledge, do it at an angle.
To think that if I had aimed 5 degrees to the left, I would've found this weeks ago...
