380Strandberg has to be one of the most exciting new guitar brands out there in 2020, check out my thoughts on this Boden Metal 8! Loaded with Fishman Fluence Modern active pickups, the clarity and tone is remarkable, all the way down onto that eighth string.
Ergonomics above everything else is what this company stresses and this guitar has it in spades. For anything ERG, a headless design will make a big difference in playing comfort, especially on an eight string guitar.
Featuring a basswood body with a solid maple top, a three way switch with push/pull pots on the volume knob to access split coil tones and another push/pull pot on the tone knob to access a second more passive sounding 'voicing', this guitar has all the tonal options you'll need.
The only problem with this guitar is the fretwork is pretty rough, with extreme lips on each fret. This needed to be addressed and filed which really shouldn't have been the case.
