Strato-Scruffy 2009 - Development Log #15 (Haunted House)
The layout of this one is pretty small, but I was able to salvage the idea entirely by backporting the darkness and spotlights effect from Ultimate Edition's Cool n Chill Secret. you could say this level was one 14 years in the making! That being said, if any level will probably need rebalancing, it'll probably be this one.
As for the boss, no, I have no idea why I made a giant ice block monster the boss of a haunted level back in the day. Probably the same reason you fight a big blob of paint in the birthday cake level.
Ice Goliath actually required a lot of subtle little changes because of the widescreen. He's a lot easier than he was in 2009, but this is offset by actually being able to die reasonably. He is a super cool boss though. IMO, he still is the boss to end all bosses.
