Here…is Abigail. I don’t…understand…why did they bring him back?! Abigail hails from Final Fight, which has since been merged with the Street Fighter canon. Characters like Rolento, Cody, Guy, Hugo and Poison have migrated over to Street Fighter in one way or another, and now it’s Abigail’s turn I guess. I take back what I said about Birdie; he was in the Alpha games, so he has at least SOME fans but NO ONE was clamoring for Abigail.
His “story” here is just one stupid misunderstanding that has him fighting WAY more characters than everyone else’s story. Why does Kolin get one fight despite being important to V’s story, whereas Abigail is a side-character and he gets so many opponents?! I was actually in awe of how many fights he had when I booted this story up! And then he “insults” Juri...it makes more sense in Japanese, I guess. (Juri’s proud of her curves!)
Abigail is the brute to end all brutes, the biggest character in Street Fighter by far. His hitbox is kinda misleading though, but if it was accurate he’d be trash; too big of a target! Abigail, despite his hulking physique, is somewhat graceful and faster than he looks. He can transition from a running stance into a flip kick or devastating punch, and his throws are pretty scary at close range. Basically, if he touches you, you’ll be taking tons of damage.
His V-Skill is a parry, and he can parry high or low depending on the input. I hear tell this can even reflect projectiles, but damn if I’m gonna be good enough to try it out! His V-Trigger I is Max Power. He turns red, gains the ability to charge his heavy punch and gains armor for the charge, with fully charged punches either crumpling foes or creating a wall-bounce. V-Trigger II is Hybrid Charge, a chargable headbutt charge. It has a tons of armor and will guard break if fully charged, so don’t sleep on it.
I will admit that Abigail is fun to play but…he is not easy on the eyes at all. Thankfully, our next covered fighter…well…let’s just say she’s got a lot of fanart.
