Strider NES walkthrough, part 5. A return trip to China. \n\nCommentary below:\n\n0:27 - Now we get to go down here...\n0:43 - The wall of daggers. Simple enough, though irritating and you can occasionally get bogged down in a jump glitch. The daggers hurt when they hit, but it's not fatal.\n1:03 - Ah, another boss. This guy has a trick to him. When you jump, if he's next to you, he jumps. If you land first, you can run under him and hit him from behind. Hitting from the front does no damage, so it's not recommended.\n1:27 - This again, but this time there are deeper pits.\n1:50 - Those attack boots Ruyzukai told you about. They're not needed and not too useful - they cause you to do damage with your slide, but it's less damage than a cipher-hit would do. But I get them for the sake of completion. Besides, if you can wear 3 boots at once, why not do it? You need to head back up to the top again, though I suppose if you're a triple-jumping god you can make it back up that shaft. I'm not. Oh, and DON'T go up that ziptube without getting the boots. It makes you feel stupid.\n2:13 - What? Yeah. I actually swore at the game when this happened. Eh, no big deal. I don't have to backtrack far, ad it gives me a chance to show off the boots (watch the first part of the stage to see them in action)\n2:36 - Just making sure I still had the boots...the red ones are the Magnetboots I got earlier.\n4:28 - Falling down means having to climb back up again, but there's nothing particularly dangerous down there (unless you're a ninny and fall into the attack boots pit again).\n4:54 - Dodging these spikes is tricky, and it's very hard to dodge the moving ones. I say just dive right in and heal at the bottom. \n5:04 - Zipline on the left leads to the beginning. We don't want that, do we?\n5:10 - I made a mistake here: If an enemy drops an energy power-up and you're at full energy but not full health, always use a Medical trick. You get the energy right back.\n5:24 - The first Zain terminal. They're pretty easy, but for some reason in this walkthrough they put up a good fight for me. First you need to kill the box floating around, so jump over it and hit it from behind while dodging the shots...you can also stand on the right side of the screen, hold up your cipher, and wait until it runs into it...I wish I remembered that technique sooner. Then, you attack the center. Just stand under it, hold up the sword, and jump a few times. Piece of cake!\n5:52 - Key number 3? We know what that means...\n6:11 - Sheena...she can't watch over a crazy unconsious guy or punctuate properly. \n6:28 - Forget all the Engrish here...Infiltration? We've been there three times already...apparently getting into KGB headquaters is easier than getting into a K-mart.
