Submerged-themed 3D Platforming+Surfing the Waves! - TheMidcoreGamer Plays Wavetale: Pt 1 (Gameplay)
Wavetale reminds me of Submerged in so many ways. The platforming part is fun in a casual kind of way and the story is pretty alright. I'm intrigued to find out more about Sigrid's missing mum. I suspect it has something to do with the Dirty Paws and the mysterious figure in the water who's helping Sigrid. The light combat here is fun as well. Not at all too challenging as long as you don't get yourself cornered and overwhelmed. Note that you can "die" in this game if you're just "leeroy jenkins-ing" everything
The surfing, jumping, and gliding parts are insanely fun, especially when you chain them all up but this is only true when the game isn't stuttering... and my laptop, as crappy as it is, fulfilled the min requirements so I reckon it isn't that.
Unfortunately, the game crashed so many times for me throughout my gameplay (see if you can spot the times when the game crashed in the video) but it's not often enough to completely discourage me from booting the game up again and continue playing. There are some bouts of stuttering too. Got stuck on this one platforming challenge that I'm pretty sure is missing something. Trying to cheese it didn't work for me... yet.
And of course, the price tag here is eye-watering even for a game as gorgeous and fun (to some extent) as this one. Definitely wait for a steeper discount if you're interested in this game!
