Subnautica, Part 06 - Scary Monsters and the Crystal #PimaxStreamer
15This is a short video since I ended up getting lost trying to figure out what to do. I'm pretty sure I need the Cyclops, if only for logistical reasons, and I think I actually have a decent amount of parts for it already. Normally I prefer to just play blindly but I'm not really getting anywhere trying to guess what to do next.
Mainly I end up talking about the Crystal. This game is a bit unique in that it has rather evil performance challenges (not quite so bad as No Man's Sky though) and I found the default local dimming didn't work well in it and ended up dropping it a level from the default "extreme" to "highlight". I used vrprefkit and lowered the supersampling in SteamVR and got it to run smoothly at 90fps without losing really all that much in visual quality though.
