OK.

We got a bunch of upgrades! But none of them are really what I was gunning for and I'm trying to decide what to do. After thinking about it, I think getting the hull armor upgrade is a good idea, and I think I should at least try to get the deepsea mushrooms for the electric defense field. It's a bit of work but I can for sure get the armor upgrade. I'm much less confident about the evil mushrooms, as I know they appear around my max -- upgraded -- depth in an area that's pretty dubious. That area is just north of the mushroom forest and goes pretty deep, too deep. But I need defenses!

I'm flying pretty blind here, I've got some clues of what I need to do, but whether I can pull off the mushroom raid is another matter entirely. It's been suggested I carefully sneak around the edges of the mushroom forest and sometimes Cyclops engine parts can show up there too -- that would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
