Suikoden II 「幻想水滸伝II」 is a Japanese RPG developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami for the Sony PlayStation between 1998 and 2000 across all territories. Building upon the foundations that made the first game good, Suikoden II improves many aspects to create a game that is lauded as one of the best on the Sony PlayStation, to this day.

We take on the role of Riou, a boy who is training to become a soldier of the Highland Army. As a member of the Unicorn Brigade, the youth division of the national army, he and his friends have been placed on border patrol whilst a peace treaty with the neighbouring nation is signed. Unfortunately, things don't go quite to plan and Riou is caught up in a conspiracy that sees a target on his back for actions that he didn't take. A refugee and war criminal of his own country, Riou must struggle in his new home, against an ever looming threat of war from those he once considered comrades.
