Maniac Mansion is an early point-and-click adventure game developed by Lucasfilm Games originally for the Commodore 64 and Apple II, and later ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in the early 90s. Using the Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion (SCUMM) engine, the game begets parser input in favor of a list of verbs that you can interact with and combine with objects on the screen for a variety of effects.

We play the game as Dave Miller, a guy on a mission who is trying to save his kidnapped girlfriend, Sandy Pantz from having her brains sucked out. In order to accomplish this he will need to assemble a team of two other friends and together find their way through the spooky mansion where Sandy was taken. It will not be an easy mission, as the residents are just a little crazy...

The game is quite old now and many people will probably overlook it, but I feel its important to revisit the classics from time to time to see how they informed the current generation. See what I thought by checking out my review.
