Blake Crouch somehow managed to combine every single terrible plot point and trope from the last fifty years of AI stories into one piece of crap. Terrible dialogue and inhumanely stupid characters to facilitate a forced doomsday.

It's a short story. It might be worth your while to marvel at this crap.

Don't get your hopes up for Dark Matter later this year I guess.
