Honkai: Star Rail is the latest gacha/RPG from MiHoYo, which goes whole hog on science fantasy for its space adventure. Though I have issues with the intro and its mountains of lore documents, it's all built around some rock-solid gameplay, and even has some sharp writing and worldbuilding in places. It's imaginative and yet intuitive, with easy-to-grasp core mechanics and yet good tactical depth from party synergy. While the gacha remains a capricious element and there's very much a grind, there's still some legit good design here that keeps it fun to play.

Grab a ticket and your spaceball bat, spend those skill points wisely, and hop on! And remember: meta is fleeting - always roll for love! Just, y'know, know the risks if you're trying to make Silver Wolf useful.
