Intro sequences from the infamous "disowned" Rockman game, Super Adventure Rockman. It was an animated "choose your own adventure" game developed by Kouyousha, the same company that developed Shichisei Toushin Guyferd, and published by Capcom in 1998 for Saturn and Playstation.

The intros serve as previews of what's to come in each episode of Super Adventure Rockman. The story is that EM waves are emanating from what was claimed by the U.N. to be Mayan ruins; the waves wreak havoc on anything mechanical, ranging from robots to airplanes. Three years later, Drs. Light and Wily investigate the ruins, called the Lanfant Ruins, because the EM pulses were getting worse. During this time, Wily finds a supercomputer named Ra Moon, and it revives all the Robot Masters from RM2 and 3.

The EM field continues to spread until it's global, and almost kills Roll, putting her in a coma. Then Wily makes threats saying that if the entire world doesn't surrender to him, he'll shut down all machinery, which would be catastrophic for humanity, not to mention Rockman, Roll, and any other robot.

Keiji Inafune disowned the game because of the amount of violence. In the beginning, a bunch of military planes blow up as they enter the EM field. One of the bad endings has Rockman giving up on saving Roll; the latter dies and the world is clouded by Ra Moon, and the game ends.

The first print of the Saturn version has a game-breaking bug that doesn't allow it to go past a certain point; the second print fixed this.

As far as these types of games go, it's ok. The story is pretty compelling, and the art style and animation are beautiful. But the shooting segments against bosses aren't so fun. It's still an interesting curiosity in the Rockman series.
