My Super EverDrive Ultimate Edition arrives!

This is a new flashcart for the SNES that uses plain SD cards for storage. The Ultimate Edition comes with everything you need including a 2GB SD card and has the DSP-1 chip installed to play games like Pilotwings and Super Mario Kart.

The Super EverDrive does NOT work with SuperFX games and this is NOT a shortcoming of the product. The fact is no flashcarts work with SuperFX games as there are multiple versions of the SuperFX chip and they aren't all compatible with each other. It would be insanely complex and expensive to make a flashcart that somehow has all the SuperFX chips on it, proper voltages and could still work with non-SuperFX games and so it shouldn't be expected from any SNES flashcart. Now with that out of the way I can tell you there are over 1,500 games for the SNES/SFC in total and only about 30-40 (depending if you have the DSP-1 chip) that don't work. This is of course a very small percentage of games that don't work on the Super EverDrive overall.

Like all the EverDrive products I've used this one is very simple to operate. Simply toss all your ROM files onto an SD card, pick a game from the menu and hit start! It's that easy!
