Concept Art for the Super Famicom + CD between Nintendo and Sony before the release of the Sony PlayStation 1. Taken from Official PlayStation magazine from a 2001 issue. Sadly back then I just tore out pages that I thought were cool or had some info that I wanted to keep.

However I forgot to say the Nintendo went on to build N64 and Phillips went on to build many versions of it CD/I machine. Nintendo also developed games for the CD/I system. But nothing really panned out as the CD/I wasn't really intended as a video game console. Instead it was intended as a Media box. Perhaps Microsoft should brush up on history a little?
