Yeah I know, been a while! Not for lack of trying though. The crew and I have some stuff cooking behind the scenes for SAGE 2025. Ultimate Turbo will be there, but it won't be our biggest surprise! Anyways, come peep in here for a whole host of patch notes coming to 3.1 (hopefully soon!)
Starting off with a change I needed to do a while ago but kept putting off: the Uncle Swordsman walkie talkies have been completely redone. You no longer need to jump into a walkie talkie to see what everyone's favorite purple clad uncle has to say--you just need to stand next to it.
Another one that's been bugging me for almost two years: the jittery graphics in fast forward are almost 100% fixed! I redid the backend for graphics interpolation entirely, and it's actually a lot simpler to work with than before, though I do need to edit everything in the game a bit. Less tedious than it sounds, thankfully.
Every level and boss in the game are being rebalanced, some more drastically than others. If you're wondering why it's taking so long to put out 3.1, this is why. Turbo forces you to play with one "life," and the game wasn't designed around that, but now it is! You'll notice a lot of levels feel a bit easier in spots but IMO this is for the better. Some of them are paced better too. The completely underwater part of Toy Block Bridge only appears in Hard now, as an example. As another, more drastic example, most of Cinge's attacks can now be reflected back at him, so his fight no longer feels like a total waiting game like it did before.
Look at that snazzy new TURBO on the title screen!
