Star Coins: 1 + 2
Run right and jump on to the red rotating platform. The trick with these blocks is DON'T PANIC. Stand on the top side and run to the next side when they're on a 45 degree angle. Take it easy and these blocks are a sinch. Head north on the blue block for Star Coin #1, then keep jumping right. Bounce off the Paragoomba when you reach it to get to two ? Blocks (climb the Birck Blocks if you miss), one of which has a Tanooki Leaf. Smash all the Brick Blocks below and continue forward. Get over the giant green block and lunge forth to reach the Rainbow Note Block. Bounce up into the clouds!
Hit the ? Block, grab the Star and... well, you know the drill. LEG IT! At the end is Star Coin #2 so jump to it and drop back down. When you land, bounce on the Coin Coffer for a solid ten Coins. After that, hit the red ! Block and run across the new blocks to reach the next ledge. It is here you find the Checkpoint Flag. Part Two

Use the Binoculars and look out to the right. Oh, hey Toad! Zoom in and he'll throw out the last Star Coin. Leave the 'Nocs and jump on to the red block to the right. Run north and then hop back left to Star Coin #3. Leap back to the red block and back south. Jump to the yellow block on the right and then through the Red Ring. Pick up the Red Coins and get the bonus, then continue along. Watch out for the Paragoomba ahead. Get across the next few blocks and work your way up the yellow and blue blocks. At the giant green block, fly over to the Finish Flag.

Super Mario 3D Land is a platform game that has been described by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto as a "3D Mario that plays as a 2D Mario game". As such, Super Mario 3D Land combines the elements of traditional side-scrolling video game titles, such as linear-based levels, with those of the modern open world titles, such as moving Mario in three dimensions and performing a variety of actions. Similar to the older side-scrolling Mario games, the health system revolves around Mario shrinking upon taking damage from enemies or hazards, there is a dedicated "Dash" button as opposed to using analog input to determine travel speed, and damage as "Small Mario" results in losing a life. Mario has also learned two new moves: a barrel roll and a roll jump, the former of which can be used to break blocks in a similar manner to jumping at blocks from below or ground pounding, and the latter allowing Mario to cover much horizontal ground in one jump. Super Mario 3D Land utilizes a similar level objective to the aforementioned side-scrolling games, in which the point of each level is to reach and grab the "Goal Pole" at the end of the level, within the time limit.The game offers a number of traditional Mario items, such as the Super Mushroom, Fire Flower and Starman, along with new power-ups that bestow special suits onto Mario and grant him new abilities.
