Super Mario Galaxy - Episode 19: Garbage Day!
In today's episode of the "Super Mario Galaxy" playthrough, we finish up everything we can do (for the time being) in the Deep Dark Galaxy before collecting most of the stars in the Dreadnaught Galaxy, including arguably one of the worst ones in the game.
Regarding the Deep Dark Galaxy, there isn't much left to do. For our final mission, we just need to do another short game of follow the leader with Guppy in the deepest section of the lake. Then, in that same lake, we just need to blow up some mines in order destroy a sunken ship and reveal a launch star that we can use to enter the floating cube, do a little gravity puzzle in order to get some light in the area, and then use said light to kill a boo for the hidden star.
Though the big focus of this video will be today's galaxy of the day: the Dreadnaught Galaxy, which is to the Battlerock Galaxy as the Gold Leaf Galaxy is to the Honeyhive Galaxy. However, unlike the Gold Leaf Galaxy that had unique missions to differentiate itself from its early game counterpart, most of the Dreadnaught Galaxy's missions are slight variations of one from its sister galaxy: one that involves us dodging cannon fire and electricity on a moving platform and a hidden star that involves us blowing up garbage, to name the ones featured in this video.
Actually, on second thought, the garbage mission in the Dreadnaught Galaxy isn't the same as the one in the Battlerock Galaxy: it's much worse on account of how you have to blow up even more trash in the same amount of time that they allotted for the first mission. So if you make even the slightest of errors, you're retrying the trash challenge while that Gearmo calls you out.
Though on a different topic, while making the thumbnail for this video, I had something straight out of a creepypasta happen to me. As soon as I finished creating the thumbnail, my computer froze on the window where I was editing the smug Norma sprite. Then, after about a minute or two of waiting (because I was hoping that my computer would unfreeze and I wouldn't lose the thumbnail before I could save), my screen goes black while a video showcasing the Watcher Knights boss fight from "Hollow Knight" played in the background. And the scary part was that upon restarting the computer after a few seconds of it not responding while playing the video, I discovered that somehow a new Chrome window was opened for the video despite me being in 3D Paint.
I know that this sounds ridiculous and I wouldn't believe it myself if I wasn't there to experience it firsthand, but it's 100% true, which is why I'm retelling the incident here.
