We've reached the final zone, which holds the last of the 6 golden coins. This is Space Zone, and it only has 2 levels. Shortest. Zone. Ever. Yet I still ended up taking 12 minutes to get through it. (Maybe I should have cut part of the second level...) Space Zone 1 is set on a rocky landscape with low gravity, so Mario can jump even higher than normal. There are various alien-like new enemies as well as spikes to avoid. Space Zone 2 is an auto-scroller full of damaging stars, most stationary and some mobile. It goes on for quite a while, too, and there is a boss at the end. Pretty nasty boss, too...his attacks are remarkably hard to dodge. Upon beating him, however, the last golden coin goes into our possession and the door to the final level opens! We do still have a few secret levels to cover, though....
