Using a fast technique to do a crazy precise trick -- appears to be a one-frame window for these jumps. That feel when you spend several hours to beat an 11 second level.

To preform this trick, run while holding a shell, jump, press backwards very quickly to not lose too much speed (can be immediately after jumping, or right before the next part), then just before the peak of the jump, release run and press forward at the same time. If you do it right, the shell will be under mario and you'll bounce off of it. I never release jump the entire time.
