Could this be the finale?! Previously, we reached the Sunken Ship and traversed its puzzles to reach Captain Johnny Jones and the fifth star piece. After a battle with the pirate captain and his crew, the star piece was recovered but upon returning to Seaside Town, another one of Smithy's minions challenged Mario for the star. With the battle quickly won and Mario securing the fifth star piece (again), we completed a few side quests and mini games, then continued towards Land's End, battled Belome once again, and visited Monstro Town. We managed to reunite Bowser with several of his minions as well as take over the local Dojo. We did attempt to take on Culex and that did not end well (thanks PixelJunkie), LOL! As we continued to travel through Bean Valley, we discovered the hidden casino and rested up for our next journey.

I did manage to work on a few Retro Achievements off stream, I returned to the casino and won "Look The Other Way" 100 times to earn the Star Egg, we also gathered enough sheep (using Lamb's Lore 48 times) for Sheep Attack as well. I also completed the Sky Troopa Challenge at Land's End in just shy of 12 seconds earning the Troopa Pin.

As our journey continues, we look towards the sky as we travel to Nimbus Land.

STORY
As Princess Peach travels to visit with her hero Mario, she stops along the way to pick some beautiful flowers. But as things seem peaceful in the moment, Bowser, King of the Koopas, was not far behind and took the opportunity to kidnap the princess once again. Mario hears the princess' cry for help and immediately springs into action, following Bowser back to his castle. As Mario catches up with Bowser, a battle begins and while Mario claims victory and rescues his beloved princess, the celebration is shortlived.

A loud crash and earthquake sends everyone flying across the land. With the princess nowhere to be found, Mario must return to Bowser's Keep to find her, but instead, Mario finds a giant sword stuck in the castle claiming that this world belongs to the "Smithy Gang". Cutting off access to Bowser's Keep, Mario is forced to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom to report the trouble that is looming across the land and continue his search for Princess Peach. But what other troubles are happening across the land? What is that sword in Bowser's Keep and who is the "Smithy Gang"?
