Just past the Save Block in Bean Valley, you'll come across a Beezo watering a plant in an isolated pipe. This plant spawns Smilaxes, a stronger subspecies of Piranha Plant. You'll first face one Smilax, then two, then three, and finally a giant Megasmilax flanked by two regular Smilaxes. The regular Smilaxes mainly use Flame and Hot Shot, while Megasmilax's most dangerous move is Petal Blast, which can turn the entire party into mushrooms if Trueform Pins or other status-blocking items are not equipped.
