Inside Nimbus Castle, there is a hall with three doors. The middle door, whose key you must obtain from a guard elsewhere, leads to a room where Beezo is watering a giant egg. Entering battle with the egg, you will first have to destroy its shell. The egg, named Shelly, will not attack in any way during this phase.

Once Shelly is destroyed, Birdo will emerge and the fight will truly begin. Most attacks will do very little damage to Birdo. To fight her efficiently, block her single-shot egg attacks. Doing so will bounce the eggs back and cause them to become separate enemies named Eggbert on the field. Eggberts will explode when they receive slight damage, doing 80HP worth of damage to Birdo most times.
