Super Mario Sunshine (SM3DAS) Playthrough 20: The Race with Il Piantissimo
1It is time to enter the final course, this is Pianta Village, which is located on a giant tree and is the home of the Piantas. Mario does a few tasks for the Pianta inhabitants, like helping a female Pianta's pet Chain Chomplets, as well as a race with Il Piantissimo, and a bunch of other things that have to do with fire.

Time for course 7, but first Mario cleans the Shine Gate, which will award a Shine Sprite, and it will be on top of the Shine Gate, and it requires the Rocket Nozzle to get the Shine Sprite, and the Warp Pipe leads to Pianta Village. There is something interesting about Pianta Village, the odd numbered episodes take place at night, and the even numbered episodes take place during the day.
Episode 1 is Chain Chomplets Unchained, and what you have to do is find the three Chain Chomplets running wild around the village, you have to spray them to cool then down, then grab them by the tail and fling them, and you have to get them into the water under the large tree, and the Chain Chomplets can go back on fire after a while, and they leave burning goop. When all three are launched into the water, you can get your Shine Sprite.
Then the race with Il Piantissimo, and on his home turf, even though he isn't really a Pianta, and he isn't that popular with the Piantas in the village, this isn't a hard race, as you have to get to the goal, which is the platform on the tree.
Then we have one of the worst episodes in Super Mario Sunshine, it is The Goopy Inferno. Shadow Mario takes away FLUDD, and the entire village is covered in fiery goop, so what you have to do is find a hole next to the spa, and a Pianta will tell you about the village underside, Ground Pound the panel and there are a bunch of ElectroKoopas and Klambers on the hanging path, and you have to move sliding panels, but they will fall if you hold onto them for too long, and use the swing and mushroom platforms to get to the next panel, and make your way to the village by Wall Jumping, and jump from platform to platform, and you can get FLUDD back, and on the yellow mushroom is the mayor, clean off the goop on him and talk to him to get your Shine Sprite, and there are some Blue Coins you can get there, like two M graffiti, and a burning Pianta.
Episode 4 is Chain Chomp's Bath, and what you have to do is cool down the larger Chain Chomp and drag him to the spa, and after a while, the Chain Chomp will be back to its burning self. You can use the barrels to cool down the Chain Chomp, and when it is at the spa, it turns gold and you can get a Shine Sprite.
As I did all four episodes in Pianta Village really quick, I decided to do the Delfino Plaza Shine Sprites, the first one is revealing an image of a Shine Sprite on the beach, and the Shine Sprite appears on one of the green pillars.
The next thing I decided to do is clean the bells, one is on the west side, and the other is on the east side, the east bell does require the Rocket Nozzle to get up there, and spray the bell until you get the Shine Sprite, which you need the Rocket Nozzle for.
The west bell requires a spin jump from a nearby building, and spray the bell enough to get the Shine Sprite, and you will need to use the sewers to get the Shine Sprite.
The last one for this video is the Super Slide secret course, the Warp Pipe is on the pillars, and this is one of the easier secret courses in Delfino Plaza, as the Shine Sprite is at the end of the slide.
