So... about Lost Kingdoms II. The short version is my particular combinations of cables, recording devices, and game consoles don't allow me to actually record gamecube games right now.

Like, for... reasons, rather than having my original Wii, I have a newer one that doesn't have backwards compatibility.

And the recording device only takes component video in.

And I have no way of converting from composite to component. Besides the "super grayscale edition by plugging in the composite video to one of the component video colors (I know it works for the green plug, though it also... didn't look quite right).

I've ordered a device that will let me do said conversion.

Anyway, as for why the newer Wii. It's all Animal Crossing's fault. In particular, my parents wanted to keep their town when I moved out, so they gave me a new Wii to replace the one that I had bought myself. Unfortunately, it was a model that can neither play Gamecube games nor accept Gamecube controllers. I happen to play Brawl with a Wii Remote+Nunchuck anyway, at least. I lost all my unlocks in that too, but unlocking all the characters through vs matches is quick enough, and I don't feel the need to recollect all the trophies and stickers a second time. All my other data I could either transfer or didn't care that much about.

So yeah, that's the story. Hopefully the regularly scheduled LP can return next week.
