Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - 11 KOs in Cruel Smash as Lucina (without the edgehog method)
Heya guys. Decided to put up another video on this old channel to show off I haven't died (yet). In fact, I'm still quite gaming, just not like I used to. Currently I'm enjoying the recently released new entry to the Smash Bros. franchise and WOW this game's a beauty. No seriously I'm not really a graphics guy but compared to the visuals of Brawl on the original Wii this one sings. That being said, it may just be the hardest game as regards to the single-player; the challenges and events in this game are on a whole other level of difficulty than either Melee or Brawl, and it's mainly because the AI reads inputs like a mo-fo on high difficulties. It literally reminds me of the AI from Soul Calibur 3 and 5, which would just wait outside your attack range, anticipate your moves and strike when you screw up. Heck this is the first game where I'm actually stuck on Event mode in several battles, where I normally wouldn't have an issue clearing them within the first week.
However, this is one I was fortunate to take down, and with one of my faves to play as no less. Cruel Multi Mode has always been a quick place to get your ass handed to you, so asking to score 8 KOs in one sitting, and then another specifically as Lucina was a tall order to fill. I've checked the videos on how to "easily" clear this by abusing the right edge of Battlefield but honestly, despite the fact I tried it here and there... I just don't have the patience to play like that, lol. Against better judgment I decided I'd personally fare better just fighting them head-on and it wound up paying off. It's a good thing the Multi-Miis don't use special recovery and Counter is such a useful tool.
Included is three of my attempts, the first two the closest I got before I finally managed to nail it. Of course, this actually took me about an hour and some change to get a working course going but at least I don't have to worry about this baby anymore... Hope you enjoy watching.
