I am using Donkey Kong to go through All-Star Mode, and being one of the heavier characters, Donkey Kong is not an easy character to launch, and with knockback from your opponents being reduced, this does allow Donkey Kong to last throughout the battle. The increased damage against opponents is really good for Donkey Kong, because his smash attacks have great launching power, and he can get in some good damage against his opponents, the one thing to watch out is stage hazards.
With Donkey Kong's Alt. Trophies, the 3DS version uses the yellow alternate costume, that is Donkey Kong's 7th alternate costume, while the Wii U version uses the white alternate costume, Donkey Kong's 6th alternate costume, and he is one of the first few opponents in All-Star Mode in the 3DS version, as he debuted in the original Donkey Kong Arcade game along with Mario, that would be the case in the 3DS version, in the Wii U version, Donkey Kong is one of the last few opponents you fight against.
I will go over All-Star Mode and which characters you fight against.
Round 1 (2015-2007): Corrin, Greninja, Lucina, Robin, Dark Pit, Shulk, Bayonetta, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina & Luma
Round 2 (2006-2001): Lucario, Lucas, Ike, Zero Suit Samus, Toon Link, Bowser Jr., Roy, Olimar, Villager
Round 3 (1998-1994): Ganondorf, Sheik, Cloud, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Diddy Kong, Ness
Round 4 (1993-1991): Meta Knight, Falco, Fox, Wario, King Dedede, Kirby, Sonic
Round 5 (1990-1986): Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Dr. Mario, Marth, Mega Man, Ryu, Palutena, Pit
Round 6 (1986-1984): Samus, Zelda, Link, Bowser, Peach, R.O.B., Duck Hunt Duo
Round 7 (1984-1980): Little Mac, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Mario, Pac-Man, Mr. Game & Watch

The following stages that appear in the 3DS version when fighting Donkey Kong and the other characters that debuted in 1980-1984 are Jungle Japes, Flat Zone 2, and Boxing Ring, and in the Wii U version, the stages that can appear are Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Plaza, Flat Zone X, or Pac-Land. While there are three Donkey Kong stages, Kongo Jungle only appears in Round 3, where it is used for Diddy Kong's home stage, Jungle Hijinxs is not used as you can use the Barrel Cannons to blast into the background, so I can see why that doesn't appear in All-Star Mode, and 75m is one of the larger stages in the game.
Donkey Kong's Final Smash Trophy for Konga Beat, I do like how the name is a combination of Donkey Konga, when Donkey Kong gets out the drums, and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, and I did like the improvement where you can press the attack button to get the timing, and they made it easier in this game than in Brawl.
