I play as Ike in this video, and I do Classic Mode with him, and he uses his appearance in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn in this game. Being a slow heavyweight character, Ike did get some improvements between this game and Brawl, he did get some buffs through updates, and while his smash attacks are powerful, they are quite slow, which is a disadvantage to Ike.
I will go over Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight characters that use their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight characters that use their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you fight against Master Hand, or if you are playing on a higher Intensity, you fight Crazy Hand as well, and on an even higher Intensity, you fight against Master Core.
Next is Ike's custom moves, as this is the only game in the series to have custom moves, Ike's neutral special is Eruption, and I do like the change to blue flames, and when fully charged, it has high knockback, but it does deal damage to Ike. The first custom move for Ike's neutral special is Tempest, where the explosion is replaced by a gust of wind that pushes away opponents, and Ike does not take self-damage when used, and the other custom variant is Furious Eruption, where the explosion is larger the more it is charged, it deals less damage, and Ike takes more self-damage than Eruption. Next is Quick Draw, his side special, the first custom variant is Close Combat, whenever I see this name, I think of Pokémon, but anyway, Close Combat has Ike move faster and launches opponents while passing through them, it deals less damage, and the other custom move for Ike's side special is Unyielding Blade, where Ike gains super armour and increased damage, but the attack is slower and shorter. Then for Ike's Aether, the first custom move for that attack is Aether Drive, where Ike throws his sword diagonally up, giving him more distance, and it deals more damage, and his other custom variant is Aether Wave, when Ike hits the ground, it creates a shockwave, which deals less damage, but the jump is lower, this move is kind of identical to Kirby's Final Cutter. For Ike's Counter, they seem to give Counter to every Fire Emblem character, the one exception is Robin, and at least Ike is not a clone of Marth like almost every Fire Emblem sword user, but anyway, the first custom move for Ike's Counter is Paralyzing Counter, it is spelt Paralysing Counter in Europe, this paralyzes opponents instead of dealing damage, and Smashing Counter is a slower counterattack, but it is much more powerful, and it can KO opponents in one hit if it counters a very strong attack, an example is Ganondorf's Reverse Warlock Punch, this move is like Roy's Counter in Melee.
While Ike does use his appearance in Radiant Dawn, he still uses his voice clips from Brawl in this game, and if you are wondering, I do prefer Ike's voice in this game than in Ultimate, although I do like the detail where Ike's Radiant Dawn variant has different voice clips to his Path of Radiance appearance, and Ike is a character I did like playing as back in this game for his powerful smash attacks.
