Here he comes, it is Ryu from Street Fighter, he was revealed alongside Roy and released on the same day as his announcement, even though he got leaked days before then. I think he is the only new DLC character that actually got leaked, because going over the DLC characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Terry didn't really get leaked, a copyright belonging to SNK did get leaked, the character itself wasn't leaked. Going over Ryu, he is Capcom's second representative, and he is all about combos, he does have a high learning curve, and he has seen success in the competitive scene for this game, he got nerfed in Ultimate, but at least he was the first character from a traditional fighter game that is playable in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Going over Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight characters in their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight characters in their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you fight against Master Hand, and on Intensity 3.0 or higher, you fight against Crazy Hand as well, and on an even higher Intensity, you fight Master Core.
Ryu does not have any custom moves, but his special move do have some variations depending on if you performed the Street Fighter command for that move, Ryu's neutral special is Hadoken, if you do the input, the attack deals more damage, and he can perform Shakunetsu Hadoken, where he fires an orange flame that deals more damage than the input Hadoken. Ryu's side special is Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, and when you perform the command for that move, the spinning kick gains more distance and can KO at over 100% damage. Then Ryu's up special, Shoryuken, the input version of that move is capable of KOing opponents at around 60% damage, making it one of Ryu's most powerful attacks, and his down special is Focus Attack, which can be charged, and it can block one attack, when it hits, it can stun opponents for a short time.
Ryu is the first character in the series to have two Final Smash moves in one game, he will perform Shin Shoryuken if he is close to the opponent, and he deals three attacks that have high launching power, if there are no opponents in front of Ryu, he will use Shinku Hadoken, which pulls in opponents when the projectile is fired, and it has better range, making it better for getting in some damage.
Downloaded alongside Ryu is his home stage Suzaku Castle, and you get also a Trophy of Ken from Street Fighter, who would then become Ryu's Echo Fighter in the next game. I did like how Ryu is the first DLC character to come with a stage, because in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, all DLC characters came with a new stage, with the exception of Piranha Plant. The Street Fighter series is the first series to be introduced through DLC in the Smash Bros. series, with Ryu being a DLC character in this game, and Ken was one of the last few characters to be added in the base game for Ultimate.
