In this video, I show off a mode that has been around since Super Smash Bros. Melee and was added in version 5.0.0, along with Banjo & Kazooie. I liked Home-Run Contest in Melee, as you get to launch Sandbag as far as possible to see how much distance you can get.
Another thing I remember is that in many games in which Home-Run Contest has been in, Ganondorf is usually up in the top records for the highest distance due to his reverse Warlock Punch being able to send Sandbag at a very far distance.
I use different characters to see how far I can launch Sandbag, and there are some characters who have moves that work differently, Joker will always have Arsene with him, and Hero's Command Selection will be set to Sizzle, Kaboom, Flame Slash, and Hatchet Man. This is like how in Brawl, Olimar can only have Purple Pikmin, it's good to see how characters have different effects with moves for Home-Run Contest.
Not sure which mode will return in the next update, as we do not have Event Mode, Break the Targets, or any other mode that has been around since the previous Smash Bros. games.
