At the time of recording the first few videos for this weekend, Piranha Plant has not yet been released as a playable character, as after January 31st is when Piranha Plant is available for purchase as DLC unless you registered this game into My Nintendo, then you can get Piranha Plant for free. Expect to see some Piranha Plant gameplay in a few videos for this weekend.
Now on topic of the video, we play my usual rules, which is 7 minute 3 stock battle, but we have no items, and we fight on Smashville Omega Mode. The difference is that Town and City transitions in Omega Mode, which Smashville doesn't. I do fight some interesting characters, and I like how the other players performed with their characters, like Jigglypuff mostly using Sing so that she can land her Rest when the opponents are sleeping, even though this does leave Jigglypuff wide open.
I play as Dark Samus, and she has different animations to Samus, where Dark Samus has more floatier animations, as she is an Echo Fighter, she does have the same moves as Samus, but some of Dark Samus's attacks have different animations.
The advantage to using Dark Samus is that my opponents are using characters that I can easily use projectiles against, aside from R.O.B. as his Arm Rotor can reflect projectiles.
