First and foremost, the most obvious change with this hack is the ability to run extremely fast. As you might notice in the video, it's very difficult to control Mario when he moves so fast. What I didn't show is what happens when you press and hold the B button while running. What happens is the value for Mario's speed "rolls over" or "overflows", resulting in the portly plumber being pulled backwards. Feel free to try it with the IPS patch.

However, this hack also offers a very interesting side effect. In this video, I exploit a very odd glitch that occurs when you run at top speed. For some reason the left side of the screen gets filled with objects and sprites that should appear later. This weird glitch can cause all sorts of amazing things to occur. Most notably being able to finish a level early. I went a bit too far with this glitch when Level 1-3 rolled around.

I kind of wish I was able to do a castle level, but I find there isn't a whole lot of room to run around in, so the mirroring glitch would have been minimal and likely would have ended up with me being killed anyway.
