Original Text: I mentioned that I saw #Shazam again, so that's keeping me in the mood to talk about the property. Let's talk about a very literal dark reflection of the classic Captain Marvel: Niatpac Levram!
A wizard created Niatpac Levram from the reflection of Captain Marvel. He seemed to be his pawn, so the character wasn't a perfect foil, despite matching him power for power (thus a perfect #SupermanAnalogue for discussion)
Captain Marvel ultimately won the day by forcing him back into the mirror. This version just had his lightning bolt reversed, as he was a reflection of the character.
However, when the character was revisited in the 70s, his colors were inverted, Reverse-Flash style.
Which was continued in later appearances. It's a classic idea (I had the same idea before discovering g it had been done) that reads without broader implications due to his constructed nature.
As with many aspects of the Golden Age Captain Marvel/Shazam franchise, this is a prototype for later series use of an artificially created imperfect duplicate. It's a great way to have a physical threat that doesn't have too distinct of an advantage.
