After a week off, #SuperOldGameSaturday is back to start off July with a great game that myself and the chat have brought up multiple times on previous streams. 1993's Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master for the Sega Genesis was chronologically the 4th game in this series (but the 8th to come out, so it's a bit confusing to place this in the timeline) and it's widely seen as the best, which you'll get no argument from me about and hence why this is the first entry in Sega's Japanese/ninja-themed Shinobi franchise that we're tackling for this channel. From its terrific visuals, sharp sound effects, great controls, gradual difficulty curve and some of the very best music you'll ever hear in any video game, this title seeing good old Joe Musashi's trek through 7 worlds to stop the evil Neo Zeed is ninja action gaming at its finest and I had a great time giving it the loving (yet surprisingly swift) playthrough it deserves, as did the chat, which was pretty active and let me get into more discussion on some of the technical aspects of the other systems whose games I want to show off on this show (some of which I'm sill working through).
